Online Piano Instructor – How To Find A Good Piano Teacher
Finding The Right Piano Teacher www.pianomother.com If you’re thinking of signing your child up for piano lessons, finding the right piano teacher is a key first step. The teacher located nearby, or the least expensive teacher, may not be the best choice. The right teacher can introduce your child to the lifelong joys of creating music. And if the teacher’s style or personality is not a good fit for your child, it could color her views of music education for years to come. What makes a good piano teacher? You want someone who will inspire and nurture your child, and help him lay a solid foundation of skill and knowledge that he will build on in his future studies. The child and teacher will develop a special relationship that may last years. This will work best if the teacher’s philosophy and style match the way your child learns. Here are some important factors to consider when evaluating piano teachers (1) Performance skill. A teacher should show mastery of the instrument. (2) Musical education. The piano teacher should have a solid grounding in music theory, music history, and piano technique. (3) Understanding and respect for children. Awareness of how children develop and learn is at least as important as the teacher’s own playing skills. It is quite possible that a stellar performer may not connect well with children or beginning students. (4) Connection to your child. Everyone is different, and some teachers may naturally be more reserved and quiet than others. But …

Product Description
Soft Way to Mozart software is a set of seven computer games designed to teach beginners from 3-year-old and up how to read and play music, and support practice of beginners and advanced students. Some of the games use the MIDI connection to an electric piano keyboard or digital piano for interactive support and control of student’s playing. This teaching software may be used for home practice and self-teaching, or in music studios or at schools.
This software package differs from other software
1) It really teaches how to read and play music compared to many musical toys designed for entertainment rather than for education.
2) Supported by innovative teaching approach, it succeeds in teaching very beginners and children where many teaching software programs rely on the already existing skills of advanced students.
Soft Mozart teaching method focuses on the most important part of music education – learning to read music. The method introduces revolutionary music score representations and special key stickers to allow any beginner, small children as well as adults, to read and play songs from the first piano lesson. The interactive learning software guides the student during piano playing, and the gradual transition to a normal music score provides the most effective and painless method of learning to read music notes. A student can choose from 52 (may be updated to 300) popular classical and folk songs that are included in the song library, listen to them, play with the right, left or both hands, and memorize them.
Different learning exercises improve essential skills needed for fluent music reading and playing.
All exercises are implemented in the form of colorful computer games, attractive to adults as well as toddlers. Total interactivity and visual hints provide a comfortable environment during music activities, playing songs as well as exercises.
Playing The Piano
Product Description
Playing The Piano is a specially-priced 2-CD that presents a wide-ranging view into the world of this composer, musician, producer, actor, and environmental activist. Ryuichi Sakamoto will make a rare North American solo tour in October/November, bringing his music to audiences through sustainable and ecologically sound touring. The first CD, playing the piano, is a series of miniatures or “self-covers,” as Sakamoto refers to them – solo piano versions of his earlier works, including some of the famous film themes such as The Last Emperor (Oscar/Grammy ® -winning soundtrack), Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence and The Sheltering Sky.
The second CD, out of noise, is arguably Sakamoto’s most ambitious to date in which he continues to explore the netherworld between music and noise that has fascinated him for years. He is joined here by, among others, Austrian guitarist/laptop artist Christian Fennesz, guitarist Cornelius (Keigo Oyamada), England’s renowned early music group Fretwork, and Icelandic multi-instrumentalist Skuli Sverrisson.
Sakamoto has devoted much of his time in recent years to environmental concerns – to turning Ego into Eco as he puts it. Beginning in 2001, he has made a huge attempt to use alternative energy for touring.
