Are there any FREE softwares I can download in which I can use the computer keyboard as a piano and play on the computer?

Does anyone know a site where you can play piano online (free!), using the computer keyboard (not just the mouse, or not the mouse), with at least 2 octaves, and if possible, with a decent sound? I have found this http://www.apronus.com/music/flashpiano.htm
but it doesn’t work with the keyboard. I would really appreciate an answer (I am aware that there might simply be no such thing for free on the net).
I would also like to know sites where you can play other instruments on-line, as long as the sound is good and there are at least 2 octaves. If it’s not piano, being able to use one’s keyboard isn’t an essential condition. Thanks a lot.

I just downloaded this synthesia program, I want to hook up my piano to my computer so I can play. I am not sure what kind of wire to use though. I have Macbook, and my piano is a Yamaha CVP-6, on the back all it has a AUX. OUT plugs in (R,L) and a MIDI IN and OUT plugin what chord would I use to hook up to my macbook?

I have a player piano that i record onto and then i put the memory card in my computer and play the song, it sounds like an electric piano therefore its not a very good sound like the piano that i have, is there a program out there that i can play a midi file on and change the sound of the tone to something like a grand piano sounds, or just mess around with the sounds and tones. thanks

I want to directly record what I play on my electric piano to my computer (ie, MIDI). On the piano, it only has an OUT for headphones plug. What additional cords do I need to do this, and how?

i want a proffessional program that can teach how to play piano, read notes, learn music theory, sightread, and other skills for a piano player to know. i already know basic things, but i am slow at reading, i make many mistakes, and so on. i am willing to practice alot, but want a nice good program to assist in me learning the piano.

keep in mind i dont want lessons as i cant fit that into my schedule, having a program will allow me to learn what i need at night when i am actually not busy. so please dont recommend lessons, i know its one of the best ways and i will get them later in the summer when i have more time. i also can
spend about an hour or two practicing (once again during the night) so any help would be appreciated. thank you

Is there free software that allows the piano to be played on the computer. Preferably, the piano would recognize two keys being pressed at the same time and play both notes.

Please don’t suggest pianos that can only be played online unless it can recognize multiple notes at the same time.

Also, please don’t suggest programs that could contain viruses, adware, spyware, malware, etc. All of the ones I’ve looked at so far could possibly contain viruses, adware spyware, malware, etc.

One last restriction: no free trials. Just a complete program that’s free and won’t infect/damage my computer.

Oh and by the way i don’t want games like frets on fire and guitar hero. i already have them. Im asking for a software where i can really play guitar or piano. Thanks.

I AM ASKING FOR A PROGRAMME WHERE I CAN SIMPLY PLAY GUITAR OR PIANO USING MY COMPUTER KEYBOARD , NOT FOR SOFTWARE WHERE I PLUG MY GUITAR IN AND PLAY (I don’t even own one…)
